Program, Education and Activities:  We strive to help adults in the community remain active and enjoy the company of other adults in a positive and productive setting. We host a variety of recreational activities, social and educational programs and provide a multitude of volunteer opportunities for those who wish to become involved. Active Generations houses a computer-learning center with a team of  volunteers teaching classes in Windows 7 ranging from computer fundamentals to the Microsoft Office programs. Active Generations has a fully-equipped fitness center and exercise classes for all fitness levels. Our fitness program is one of the most affordable in the region.      336-6722

BRIDGES Employment Resource Center:  The BRIDGES Employment Resource Center is a unique service that assists adults 50 and older who are interested in seeking employment. All services offered to job seekers are free with the exception of computer classes and resume writing. Services include: individual job coaching, resume writing assistance, interviewing techniques, employment workshops and an annual job fair.     333-3318

DAY BREAK:  What if you could no longer care for your spouse or loved one? What if you wanted that loved one to stay at home with you, but you could not possibly provide the one-on-one care day in and day out?  Day Break Adult Day Services cares for adults who need supervision and care during the day while their spouse or family member works or tends to other needs.          336-6751

NUTRITION PROGRAM:  Over 300 hot meals go out the door a day, delivered by volunteers Monday thru Friday to homebound individuals in the community.  The program also offers a friendly face to those who may not have companionship. Many clients have told us that Meals on Wheels has truly saved their lives.  A hot and nutritious noon meal is also served Monday through Friday at Active Generations.   333-3305 for Meals on Wheels;   333-3304 for Nutrition Services

SHIINE:  The SHIINE program assists Medicare beneficiaries and those who care for them. The program helps with questions regarding Medicare benefits and insurance products such as Medicare Supplement Insurance, Medicare Health Plans and    Medicare Part D.  We can also provide information/referrals to other programs for Medicare beneficiaries who have limited incomes and resources.          333-3314

WORKERS ON WHEELS:  Many senior citizens in the area are happy to remain independent and self-sufficient in their own homes. But chores like housekeeping, yard work and driving to a medical appointment are not easy tasks for them anymore. That’s where Workers on Wheels comes in. Volunteers assist the elderly by offering home repair, maintenance and transportation free of charge. 333-3317
