Serve as a Midcontinent professional representative when dealing with customers and team members.</p>
<p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<br />
• Coordinate all pre-sales and post-sales Business Solutions Engineering (BSE) activities as it relates to fiber based projects.<br />
• Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and internal and external customers.<br />
• Function as an effective team member while supporting the efforts and concepts of other departments in Midcontinent Communications and Midcontinent Media, Inc.<br />
• Maintain regular attendance to meet customer demand and support optimal customer satisfaction.<br />
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.<br />
• Be able to meet the physical demands of the job within the prescribed work environment.</p>
<p>POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:<br />
• Support the mission, vision, and values of Midcontinent Communications.<br />
• Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, responsibility, and confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.<br />
• Be the BSE single point of contact for the Sales department and the Construction departments on requests for information and requests for proposals.<br />
• Be a positive liaison between BSE and the Sales and Construction departments.<br />
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and offer viable recommendations.<br />
• Create and process design documents accurately and be responsible for communicating special provisions, requests, or instructions.<br />
• Coordinate all customer related information from an Engineering perspective.<br />
• Coordinate efforts with other departments to promote optimal customer satisfaction.<br />
• Support Midcontinent Communications efforts to improve customer awareness, satisfaction, and loyalty.<br />
• Actively participate in team efforts to support customer satisfaction.<br />
• Accurately document transactions as per company and departmental policies and procedures.<br />
• Follow up with customers in a timely manner as necessary.<br />
• Compile timely and accurate reports as requested.<br />
• Adhere to Midcontinent Communications privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s and employee’s privacy is protected.<br />
• Perform other duties as assigned.<br />

Join Author, Charles Rogers as he shares a brief glimpse into his new book, “South Dakota’s Challenges Since 1960.”  It is an update of “Challenge the South Dakota Story” which ends in the 1950’s.  As it is an update I continued the challenge theme and format of the original.  The update discusses energy, population changes, personalities, politicians, the economy, and events that have in some way impacted the states’ history over the last fifty years.  Charles Rogers is  a lifelong resident of South Dakota.  He retired from the Sioux Falls School school district after 10 years of teaching American History at Washington High School.  He continues to serve as an adjunct professor at Kilian Community College where he has taught the History of South Dakota courses for the last 18 years.<br />
